Auckland Council to cash in on $104 million worth of property to fund suburb makeover

Panumure Make Over

Auckland Council will sell $104 million worth of property to fund a multi-million dollar makeover of Panmure.

The project, designed to revitalise the east Auckland suburb, would cover 43 hectares and encompass land owned by Auckland Council, the Crown, and the Tāmaki Regeneration Company (TRC).

Panuku Development will be in charge of the project aimed at improving transport to and from the town centre, revamping the main street and reconnecting the community with its surrounding natural features – such as Mt Wellington and Panmure Basin.
